WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

BGSU wins 3-0 tonight against UAF. With that:

-Moves up to 4th in PWR (not all Jan 9 games are done as I type this, Miami will likely jump ahead)
-Top penalty killing unit in the nation (93%)
-Nation's longest current unbeaten streak at 8 games (6-0-2)

I don't think anyone predicted this good of a season for us. I certainly didn't see this coming.

Re: WCHA 2014-15: Semi-colons make things seem important

I did. We lost very little from last year's team in terms of production and we weren't that far away from having this type of season then.

Not sure about the pairwise and Miami. Alaska is higher than SCSU so us beating Alaska is worth more than Miami beating SCSU (which hasn't happened yet; they're currently tied)

SCSU now up on Miami 2-1!

And now it's 3-1 with 1:27 left. I don't think they're going to leapfrog us in the PWR.

Miami dropped to 6th in the PWR. The planets are starting to align...:D

Wild night at BG. Boring night in Bemidji. Mavs took care of business. Lots of fun in Houghton. Is Phillips slumping? Is Tech coming back to Earth? Can Bemidji get home ice? Is UAH clear of missing the playoffs? (No to the last.)

I thought it was a fun night in Bemidji!

On a serious note though Geof. If you see Craig Pierce and Brandon Parker, tell them thanks! They each flipped a puck over the boards to Libby and Lucas, who were needless to say, very excited!

Do all Beaver fans pushing brooms after the game get credit hours toward their degree? ;)

GFM

Only those registered for our broom pushing internship. However, since Beaver fans are plural, shouldn't they be working towards their degrees and not their degree? :-)

Pierce is a great kid. I haven't met Parks, but all the boys say good things about him.

I thought they only conferred one degree a year.

Wild night at BG.

That's an understatement. The refs came over to the student section and tossed one of the Creatures out. He even made sure the security guy had him escorted out of the stands. I've never seen a ref yell at a fan before, let alone kick one out.

Wow. I've had a ref eye me before, but he didn't look like he wanted me gone.

Wow MTU Fans, you are really getting out the vote for the Hobey Baker! Both players have exceeded 40k votes and the next closest at something like 12K.

Speaking of that, who in the league has stood out for POY and ROY?

Kero has some pretty great numbers and leads in 5 categories for POY. Chris Nell has only played in 7 games for BG but amazing stats! CJ Franklin leads all skaters in points.
