WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

Re: WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

Couple things. UAA's tournament is the Kendall now, instead of the Nye. You'd hope that UAA would show up to it too, but you never know ;) And if things go the way they have the last two years, UAF's Brice Alaska Goal Rush should be October 15/16. UAA will be there, and I believe I heard that CC would be as well. Can't confirm about CC though.

Re: WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

Hey now, there is no way to be certain about that.

Besides, we ALL pay those bills. Whether you smoke or not.

I'm providing revenue from tax dollars, creating jobs for future medical personnel, and offing myself very slowly.

All in all, it's Dirty's wet dream and he should be encouraging me to smoke more. :p

So I guess the Kendall would be 10/8 and 10/9, eh?

Isn't the Kendall/Nye usually that weekend that you say the Goal Rush is on? How is that working? Is the Kendall the weekend before (it can't be the weekend after since they are at Duluth).

I don't know about before UAF's tournament came into the picture, but the last two years have had exhibition games the first weekend of October(visiting team playing UAA Friday and UAF Saturday), the Kendall the second, the Goal Rush the third, and then either a bye week or going into league play.

OK, it fits, I just didn't know if that was unusual to have back to back tournys, but apparently it is not.

Also, I am about to update with some UNO info and the UAA info in a second.

Re: WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

Updated, and I have a rumor from UNO fans that Wisconsin plays at UNO on 2/11 and 2/12

Re: WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

Yale will be at CC, as will UAH (not UNH). Don't know dates. With Air Force playing in the Denver Cup the usual CC,DU,AF,Someone else weekend seems to be out this year, so maybe the Yale game will somehow work in to a Fri, Sat, Sun with CC-Yale, CC-AF, and AF-Yale?

Re: WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

I'd be willing to put quite a bit of money on Minnesota hosting Michigan State on 11/26 and Michigan on 11/27. Also, flip the order of the teams for Wisconsin on those same days.

Re: WCHA 2010-11 Schedules Collaboration

the Michigan game would be on the 28. Nov 27 would be a Minnesota hosting iowa football game, and no other events are to take place during football saturday on U campus.

So with the order switch, you are saying 11/26 Mich (Friday) and 11/28 MSU (Sunday) for the college hockey showcase, meaning Wisconsin would play the opposite schedule.

Would they really do that with three road teams in town? Mich and MSU have about a 10 1/2 hour drive after that game, I don't see how they could do it on a Sunday unless it is on another weekend entirely or they plan on breaking the football rule.

No. MSU on NOV 26 and Michigan on NOV 28.

so Wisconsin would host Michigan on NOV 26 and MSU on Nov 27.

that if the college hockey showcase is still on.

Ah, my bad. Okay. We'll have to wait and see I guess.
