Vermont v. Lowell : at least one of us has a real animal as a mascot.

Not sure about the outcome of tomorrow's game but I don't want to see the bloke who sat in front of me at the Tsongas a few weeks ago.

Probably in his mid 20's. He looked like the lead singer of the Spin Doctors (remember that band?). Not a fully grown beard? Yes. UVM beanie? Yes. UVM jersey? Yes. Wearing a UVM flag as a cape? Of course.

2 to 1 says he is from Milton, MA or there abouts. Went to UVM and never left.

I live in Mass and couldn't tell you where Milton is. Either way this thread is done as all of us Lowell fans will be at the Garden tomorrow.

Not me. :(

Have stupid event I can't get out of. Would've been golden if game was at 8:00 but no, had to be at 5:00. Have set DVR and ready to go when I get home but really hoping UML plays Saturday so I can get at least one game in this weekend. I'm predicting a 4-2 UML win (empty net goal plus one shorthanded).

2 perdictions for todays game

First it will be a one goal game...I know with these 2 teams thats going out on a limb.

Second the game winning goal will not be pretty and will be reviewed for at least an hour....at least it will seem like it.

Re: Vermont v. Lowell : at least one of us has a real animal as a mascot.

Wait, you guys are all predicting that a goal will be scored? I was thinking that, in the seventeenth overtime of a scoreless game, the overpowering snoring from behind the net would blow the puck into a goal. Either that or Joey B orders a ref to kick it into one side's netting.

It wouldn't delay the late game, though, as in the fifth overtime, BU and UNH will just play around you guys.

I'm going to assume that a Vermonter came up with the title for this thread, because I haven't seen an actual, living cougar or osprey at either team's arena.

If memory serves me correctly back in the 60's or 70's somebody had a cougar that came to some of the games at the Gut.

Both Connelly and Hendricks pick Lowell to win this one. From a karma standpoint, I like how this is setting up for the Cats. C'mon Cats, let's open a big ole can a whoop*****!

Re: Vermont v. Lowell : at least one of us has a real animal as a mascot.

Wow that was a bad penalty call.... he fell down. And now a 5-3? We know who HE wants to win.

Re: Vermont v. Lowell : at least one of us has a real animal as a mascot.

Bet that first penalty will never get called in the 3rd period. What a joke
