Once again the Cats crap the bed for most of the game and then turn it on after they get down by a couple of goals. They might find getting the lead early and holding on is easier. Just a thought.

Well, WE would find it easier. ;)

D'ya think? Good point.

On the other hand, why change a good plot line?...

Nice comeback. Personally..if you are going to win anyway...i'd rather you guys just blow us out early on. I didn't want to get my hopes up when we took the 4-2...but I did. Pretty bad combination here...a UNH team who is obviously a strong 3rd period team...versus a UVM team who has a nasty habit of giving up leads late in games.

Oh well...this isn't the same UVM team that made the run in the NCAA tournament last year. Back at it tomorrow night...but first, the AEast championship game at noon tomorrow.

VF, very gracious post after what had to be a gutting loss. I do hear you about the loss. You almost wish you were run instead of teased like that.

Yes, our team just has that knack this year of doing this very thing... this is probably around our 8th or 9th comeback win after going down by several goals. BC had 3rd period leads of 3 goals vs us ---- TWICE --- and both games ended up ties. If BC gets either W, they win the reg season title... not UNH.

Thanks Malts. You are right...feeling absolutely gutted right now...right up there with our loss at home versus Merrimack when they scored 2 goals in 16 seconds to win the game 3-2 (this is worse since we are potentially facing elimination). Hoping for a W tomorrow to make the series interesting. I love these wide open games....but we need to slow it down to have a better chance to win the game.

Not sure if you saw my posts earlier in the game, but you should go back and read them. I was talking with UVM>you and I basically explained that the last thing UVM should want is to open up this game... and I told him UVM would get blistered by UNH if they allowed it to happen. I said to stick with the 1-2-2 trap and send one soft forechecker and limit UNH's space and speed. That plan WAS working. Then, UVM got away from it and UNH took advantage. Just as I said would happen if UVM got away from their "safe away game" plan. The UVM fan sort of took offense to my assertion that UVM could not run and gun with UNH, but I think we came to an understanding that teams should play to their strengths... if they can. UVM played to theirs for around 38 minutes... and then it fell apart.

Go back to Post 1 and read it through... I think you will find it interesting/enlightening reading between us (remember... this is as the game is unfolding and neither of us know how the game is going to end or who is going to score next).
