Owen Grant's Carleton Place Canadians are CCHL champions again! They wrap up the title with a 4-3 OT win over Ottawa.

From the rumor mill: Bryce Misley will likely be headed to UVM a year early, depending on which NHL team drafts him. Otherwise he will likely go USHL, in which the Lincoln Stars hold his rights. (also, he was playing hurt in the playoffs)

Kyle Mandleur has been selected by the Lincoln Stars in the USHL Phase 1 Draft. The Stars current roster boasts UVM commits Christian Evers and Carter Long; they also have the USHL rights to Bryce Misley.

Cedar Rapids took UVM commit Andrew Lucas in the 9th Round of the USHL Phase II draft

Also taken a round earlier: AJ Drobot. Though he's not a UVM recruit - he's committed to Maine - there is a UVM connection there as his sister Amanda plays for the UVM women's team.

Ocean and Orca Wiesblatt's Brooks Bandits have won the Western Canada Cup and punch their ticket to the RBC Cup.

Owen Grant's Carleton Place Canadians play Terrebonne Cobras tomorrow for the Fred Page Cup and a spot in the RBC Cup.

Owen Grant's season is done. Leaves only the Wiesblatt brothers left (which will almost certainly wind up being only Orca seeing as he sometimes plays and Ocean rarely does)

Cool to see Misley get drafted. Thought Vlad or even Joey Cippolone mightve had a chance as well.

Also did anyone see Kyle Haskins of Huntington led the Select 17 festival in goals and points? His numbers with Select Academy are just okay, but something to look out for this season.
