In general, you do a fantastic job of getting under the skin of new posters, until people figure out you're actually a pretty good guy. Hey hey hey ... just the other day our thread was featured in the states biggest Newspaper...ok ok so it was on an online blog associated with the states largest newspaper ... SO we know that at least Ted Ryan and Peter Wallack read it

Just to stay on theme with my conspiracy theory, I don't think that was really Peter Wallack. I think it was someone closer to the pulse of the program who thought it was necessary to communicate that Kyle (wink wink) single handily built the Yale program into its prominence today. I think we should ask Ted Donnato what he thinks if we can get access to him.

Not sure if this is old news, but goalie Billy Faust is not returning to UVM. Only returning goalie is Hoffman. Freshmen Santaguida and Feeley both coming in with Santaguida having a solid chance to be starter or at least co-starter with Hoffman.

No, it's not old news to me. Can't say I'm the least bit surprised however. Sneddon seemed to have zero confidence in him by refusing to play him even when Hoffman appeared to be struggling. With the recruitment of Santaguida, who will likely challenge for the starting job, the writing was on the wall for Faust.

As discussed recently...Doerring, Montagna and Faust are not on the roster. Also, it looks like Ryan Rosenthal has left the team. I believe that hadn't been discussed other than some speculation back in May when he was a draft pick in the USHL draft.
The season starts in less than 2 months!

Was Doerring injured last season? Is that a significant loss or was he not panning out? I don't recall his play 2 seasons ago. The whole Faust episode is just strange. Was it a recruiting mistake or did something go wrong between Sneddon and him i.e. behavior or academics etc.?

A little hard to tell on Doerring. He was injured as reported by Ted and had season ending surgery. I thought he played real well as a freshman especially at the end of the season. He skates very well but needed to put on bulk from what I saw. Ohio State is a up and coming quality program so they must see something. I think anytime you start shuffling the deck this much something gets lost. I think Faust is a loss especially with one year under his belt but winning the goal tending award in the Bchl is a big deal since its such a score at will league so my guess is this kid is pretty good.

Nothing to do with academics. Pure numbers issue. Faust isn't as good as Hoffman or Santaguida.

Not my point. Santaguida was not on the team last year. My point was why was a scholarship wasted on Faust by the staff? Clearly either a scouting error or something went wrong during the season as there were many opportunities for Faust to play when Hoffman or the team around him was not playing well and a goalie change should have occurred.

Faust didn't receive a full ride. He paid to go to UVM last year.
