UVM Offseason 2019 - Search for a Soul

Re: UVM Offseason 2019 - Search for a Soul

The first place to look might be between the pipes. Glad to see him getting 2nd team HE and final 10 (so far) for Richter award. Top Save % in team history. Hopefully coming back for senior year. There is room for growth. The D got stronger this year and should continue especially if 34 stays. Where we will get some goals is the real question.

I know junior stats don't mean much but Lemay was a top-3 scorer in the AJHL this year

There has been talk on BU thread of a transfer goalie
Is there any chance Lekkas could graduate this year and be eligible as a graduate transfer next year?

No idea but I would not blame him

EDIT: Stef's an academic senior, so.....possibly

I'd be nervous if I was UVM.
Haha, why? We'll be bad with or without Stef. Actually, I'd be happy for him. He deserves to play on a winning team. Not to mention it might prompt the inevitable firing of Sneddon sooner than expected. That'd be worth it right there. Go Stef! Literally, go Stef....

I'd be happy for him too. He deserves so much better than we gave him and if he does leave I might even bandwagon his team if it's someone I can tolerate, our team's gonna suck so I may as well get some enjoyment from college hockey elsewhere

Obviously still a UVM fan - I'm sadly tied to this excuse of a program for life given that in about a month and a half the school's gonna be giving me my degree - but I can't justify putting my effort into caring about how the team does when even the admin doesn't seem to care.

Someone theorized on another site that Schulman knows something's up, but A) doesn't want to fire his buddy and B) is afraid of botching a coaching hire like he did with WBB (though Day brought Kresge to the staff and Kresge just had a great year as interim, so...4d chess? :P )

Re: UVM Offseason 2019 - Search for a Soul

Whether people want the coach gone or not, I will be happy to see 40 between the pipes for another year. We saw a team historic season from him in otherwise difficult times. And, potentially, some historically significant numbers in program history next year.

Coaching future aside as that will work itself out at the end of the contract, I just want to see continued improvement on D and a player or two to flash on O. Like 13, 10, 14, 16, 19, and 22. We will see who can take the next step. Additionally, any new players. UVM is a place where ANY player showing an offensive spark will have ample opportunity. Transfers welcome ;)

Funnily enough, of those guys you mentioned, none of them were the team's top scorer :P

Of course - but watching games this year (and past for some), I saw glimpses. Players evolve at different rates and I saw potential in these players. We will see who excels. There will be ample opportunity. And hopefully from additional players I did not think to mention.

Does anyone have a time table for renovations to the gut? I know sometime this spring construction will start. But what about how there going to do this and how much will be done to the gut before next year if at all?
