UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Merrimack is 1 point up on Umass and have the TB so I think its safe to say they will get at least as many points as UMass this weekend. They do not have TB with BU or NE or UML so the only way they can get Home ice is if Vermont gets 3 points and they sweep and BU/NE split. Which would make Merrimack #4 seed and UVM #5, I think thats the best case UVM can hope for if they dont get 4th.

Not sure if its possible for VT and Lowell to end as the 4 and 5 seeds, alot of splits would be needed I quess. Not sure home ice between these 2 is a good thing anyway the way its gone the last few years.

I would not want to be the team that would have to go to lowly lawler for a qf series. That place is awful.

UVM and UML will play two weeks in a row if UML/UVM, BU/NU, and MC/PC all split this weekend.

Also, you think the best chance UVM has (if they don't get home ice) is to go play @ MC where they have only lost 2 games all year? Seriously?

Is Tsongas still servin' cold one's? If so, is there a hotel within walking distance to Tsongas....or are any of UML posters an incredibly smokin' chica who wants to take me in (pun intended) this weekend.

Still got the suds on tap. No walking distance hotels, but you can cab it to the Marriott off the connector.

The Gut isn't that far behind..

Yes, but the Gut always sells out and fills to its capacity of 4,000 or so. Lawlor, on the other hand, looks like a barren wasteland having a drawn in crowd similar to that of a local peewee hockey game.

Yeah, it certainly looked like they had 4003 there on Sunday.

i'm gonna go ahead and bet you haven't been to a game at the mack in the past few months. they've done a much better job at getting people into the rink to watch a historically awful team when there's so much more to do in northern massachusetts than there is in northern vermont.

p.s. the gutt is also a rathole and i much prefer watching a game at the mack.

Might have had something to do with a lillte game played between USA and Canada that started the same time. Or did you not know that

You somehow find a way to more than live up to your name. I'd actually rather watch the mack play than your pitiful UML team. UML hockey: still the worst hockey east team in massachusetts.

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

I'll be severely disappointed if this doesn't turn into a pointless flame fest.

Well, Mr. Hartwell, you got your wish 27 posts into the thread.

Wow, Merrimack must be be relevant once again.

Especially since it took the talking about the Warriors to start the flamefest. ;) :p :D

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

by "pitiful" you must mean "better than vermont"

edit: and "four other massachusetts-based hockey east teams"

Make the frozen four and tell me you're better than Vermont. I love the bitterness among the UML fans :D Their team just sucks year in...year out...year in...year out. At least you fans know what to expect though. Hell, maybe you'll even make the tournament in the next few years! That might almost give you reason to be cocky about your school's program.

Vermont sucks. I'll be the loud guy at the games this weekend if any UVM fans want to take me on.
