Utica College Pioneers '13-'14 = Lewiston or Bust

Re: Utica College Pioneers '13-'14 = Lewiston or Bust

Is Plattsburgh east of the Hudson? Well, I suppose since the Hudson curls NW into the Adirondacks. But.....
Isn't that kind of like arguing that St. Paul, Minnesota, is east of the Mississippi?

It is, but most of us know what "East (or west) of the Mississippi" really means...........

Re: Nahl

roster is up on their website...last player on the roster,,Trent Samuels Thomas didnt see him on any list, but do remember him being brought up on the boards??? Only player with no pic not sure about him?? BIg defense for sure.........edit see post 279 in the old utica thread

I didn't check the old thread but I believe he's ineligible this year but can practice. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I will be there sometime during the afternoon/evening (UC staff pickup is in the afternoon, general public in the after work time). I may be cross dressed (UC sweatshirt/Wisconsin hat or other way around) for easy identification. :p

eliteprospects has the Kirisits Dman as going to Clarkson for the 2014-2015 season??? must have stole a good one??...the rest look good on paper, not to mention BIG..

That is correct. Don't know much about him besides what the team has told me. Kid apparently hits like a Mack Truck, or so i've been told.

Not eligible to play this season. Played with Drummondville of the QMJHL for a bit and lost a year as a result.

If you're there between 3:30 and 6, drop by the WPNR 90.7 table and say hello :)

Speaking of which, i'll be on the air with a special edition of "The Stampede" from 4 to 6. Highlights of that show will air during the regular time slot on wednesday. I'll be watching that "Other Team".

Middlebury

M'bury played a pretty tough schedule for sure, but it didn't quite stack-up to Utica's, IMO. Reasonable minds can differ on this stuff, of course, and kudos for having the balls to actually mention names, unlike, say, Champs...

That guy (?) likes to troll and ramble-on, but despite his attempts to obfuscate the facts, he has not once actually answered that specific question, despite his lame protestations to the contrary.

His thing is to denigrate UC's OOC schedule, while ignoring the weight of objective evidence to the contrary regarding its docket as a whole.

(Hell, even Prof had Utica at or near the top of his SOS at the end of last year, never mind the KRACH, which had them #1 in the East in that regard.)

"But" what..? Plattsburgh is east of the Hudson, period.

(The juxtaposition of colleges relative to a river is certainly as inane a topic as I've ever seen here, and if that wasn't your point, what exactly was it?)

You little trolls really need to look at the numbers, quit grasping at straws, and perhaps go home to Mama's basement or to your assisted-living facility... This thread is not about you-all having all the idle time to concoct irrelevant and cheap comments regarding Utica hockey, believe it or not.

Try going to your favorite team's thread and posting something that's either positive or interesting... That's a much better use of your (apparently) vast down-time.

Relax you big troll, the issue of rivers is just an opportunity to bring up a discussion that you might have knowledge about.

in another thread in response to your constant diatribes on SoS I listed Eastern teams that had a better SoS last season than Utica. The list was not short. You can look it up.

KRACH had UC first in Eastern SOS. Are you referring to the NCAA rankings?

As you know, I prefer the KRACH to the PWR, for both D-1 and D-3, and those two are the only transparent metrics out there. Having said that yet again, most if not all of the on-paper contenders were W teams, IIRC, but I'm unable to unearth last year's final KRACH, either on here or via a search... Seems that Ken makes it unavailable, after the fact.

At any rate, I'm interested to hear which team(s) in the East last year played a tougher schedule, in your opinion. OSU has been the only individual here to specifically name such a team, to his everlasting credit... Still waiting for you and Champs to man-up on that one.

IMO, Plattsburgh is NORTH of the Hudson.

North and east, Jerry... Both conditions may be met at the same time, believe it or not. (Think "Greenland" vis-a-vis the Hudson, if that's helpful to you.)
