You think that's bad, over in the ECACHL we have three CU's!!!
There is CUred = Cornell aka (can't be printed in mixed company)
CUmaroon = Colgate aka Toothpaste
CUgreen = Clarkson. Though fortunately Clarkson still is referenced by our old moniker, CCT

We eschew that system in the SUNYAC by simply knocking off/shortening syllables, eg:

Platty
Potty
Wego
Freddy
Genny
Buff State
MVille

Makes things nice and distinctive.

Everything works great, except I need MVille to be MoVille - though I like MVille better. :( :o

As Norm and Prof said, Mo'ville is SUNYAC, M'Ville is in the ECAC-W.

And I prefer Oz to 'Wego.

so, i just got done talking to someone on the inside....... and gary seems to think that realistically, our pioneers aren't dead yet but we're going to need some serious assistance this evening.

Im not a member of the facebook group. but yeah so basically we agree. Utica needs no major upsets in the East. In the West, A MSOE loss tonight will help and Hamline winning. Those would be the two largest contributions.

SNC college losing would affect everyone looking for a Pool C except Oswego. Not that it matters anyway as Utica is done. Platty, Castleton, Norwich are all ahead of them for a Pool C. Probably even Neumann..

But Utica will not lose this weekend, where some of the other Pool C folks will. If the rankings are close, is it better to play and lose, lowering you win percentage, or better to not play and take the stats from this past week?

what about castleton? who have they played this year besides the league teams they're forced to play?


besides which, i'm pretty sure they lost in their semifinal game in a much weaker league.
look who we've lost to. look who they've lost to.

they've lost to colby and babson, in addition to bowdoin, and norwich.

utica has only lost 2 more games than they have, with a much tougher schedule.

our SOS:2nd.
their SOS:30th

and i'd like to point out that all of our losses came against highly ranked opposition. castleton's didn't.
i like utica to win out in that one.... some others may not think so, but i do and i'm pretty sure a certain head coach is thinking the same way.

Let me say this now...UTICA has ZERO shot at getting in. 3 ECACW teams will not get in this year...Just no way it will happen. Even Neumann is on the bubble of not getting in and they are ahead of utica in running.
