I think it will just be a $5 cover at Toby Keith's. LH isn't a national act and we don't need to pre-buy tickets, every other time I've been there where this is the case it has just been $5. Last time we went the line was about 20 minutes long, and they do have a coat check, so I recommend a warm coat for the wait.Well, different gathering:
Place: Joe Senser's in Bloomington.
When: this Saturday
Why: MN/UND game; Senser's is a Sue bar.
Other details: many tv's, they have audio boxes for tables if that table wants to hear audio for a certain tv. Always fun (last time our group got huge round of applause when we sang the "Jesus Hates WI" song/chant. Reservations are ok, but this time I won't be making one, so don't ask. If someone wants to step up, go for it.
Some will continue on to Toby Keith's after the game, which is about 10 minutes away. bbdl can correct me, but I think that night is a non-standard cover night (cover is usually $5 or so, live music, but if a "bigger" band plays, the cover is more).
Chez Rube would be open for about 5-6 people comfortably at most, for sleeping purposes, at my discretion, advanced reservations would be made. The usual suspects have top priority of course.
Edit: SoH: Yes, you were indeed a bag of diks this morning.
I believe it will be the weekend of Feb. 12th, so you should be good.Email sent. If you are nice enough to pick one of the weekends I'm off, I shall partake in this debauchery.
You've heard of the Vikings' Sex Boat, right? You guys make me nervous about the cruise I want to "organize"- like the headlines "internet crazies jump overboad- never seen of again (sub-it appears drinking was involved)".
HA. As if there's any doubt that drinking would be involved. You guys make me nervous about the cruise I want to "organize"- like the headlines "internet crazies jump overboad- never seen of again (sub-it appears drinking was involved)".
Awesome. As long as we don't go "Very Bad Things" on this bit, things should be good.

Ok, guys. I called our limo driver buddy, and this isn't as great of a deal as we originally thought, so we have to decide if we still want to go through with it, or not. It will probably still be a helluva good time, though.
First of all, the $60-$70 each price that we originally thought, isn't right. He estimated it at $250 per person, if we have 6 people, and that number depends on which bars we go to (how far between bars, how far he has to drive) and the price of gas in mid-February.
We can get the Feb. 12 date that we were originally planning on, that is not a problem. but we need to decide, and get a list of bars, and order that we want to go to them, put together so he can give a better idea on what the price will actually be.
Lastly, girls. We were misled when we thought we could get a whole bunch of them. He said that he could get 2, but also that everything is included in the original price, if you want lap dances in the limo all night long, $250 is a pretty **** good deal, if you're just going out on the town and don't want any lap dances, $250 is pretty steep. Also, there will be no ****ing of the strippers, (my rule, not the limo driver's) because I'm not getting a lap dance from a stripper dripping with the commie's man juice.
So we have to decide if we still want to do this, with the higher price, and the limit of 2 ladies. We need to get back to this guy within the next couple days, because Feb. 12 isn't that far away. Let me know what you guys think.
So this was the idea all along? And I thought it would be more devious than this!
I agree that $250 is too steep. But wanted to lay it out for you guys, just in case.
So, are we having a Hockey Day Minnesota get together next weekend?
Also, is anyone interested in a trip to Vegas? I'm thinking a weekend trip, noon on Friday to Sunday night, $500-$600 per person. Either the weekend before Final 5 or the weekend before Frozen 4.
