Now hearing Stephen Marley - Mind Control & Revelation Pt. 1

He'll be playing Madison in April. Seriously considering going.

Screaming Trees - Sweet Oblivion

Yeah, it's their most commercial album. It's also their best, so sue me.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

It doesn't get much better than Dollar Bill.

Saw them play a tiny little club in Portland, Me., must have been around '91 or '92. Mark Lanegan just sitting at the bar sipping a drink.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

Since I only drive back and forth to the train station during the week, I'm using our reliable '94 Camry while our son gets to use the '04 Honda while at college.

I only have a cassette player in the car. I found a tape I recorded around 1990 or 1991 from a radio program that has a spliced version of All Along the Watchtower in which Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Barbara Keith, and The Grateful Dead switch back and forth seamlessly. I searched YouTube but after going through 16 pages I was unable to find it.

If anyone knows where I can locate a cleaner digital version, I'd appreciate the tip. It is very well done.

White Stripes: Icky Thump
The Postal Service: Give Up
Garden State Soundtrack
Interpol: Turn on The Bright Lights
The National: High Violet
Moby: 18
Brennan Canning: Something For All of Us

"Turn on the Bright Lights" has grown on me. Starting to like it better than Antics.

Young the Giant - Mind Over Matter

Their new album.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

Church brought it again with Give Me Back My Hometown. Absolutely love it. His best since Springsteen.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

Arctic Monkeys: Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not
The Lion King- original soundtrack
R.E.M.: Automatic For the People

Also, I moved my iTunes media on to my external hard drive. I still don't know why it's making 2-3 copies of each song though.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

For anyone up this late, just wanted to plug a Fark friend's radio show. Broadcasts live out of Juneau most Saturday nights from 9-11 pm Alaska time (1-3 AM Eastern, sometimes he goes longer if he's in the mood.) Taste that can only be described as "eclectic." He prides himself on making genre shifts as wide and abrupt as he can.

The Police - Zenyatta Mondatta, Ghost in the Machine & Synchronicity

Haven't listened to this in a year or two. Really enjoying.

Copeland = underrated

Sting - Bring on the Night

His solo career at this point had some real potential (from a me liking it standpoint).

Too bad.

Still love this album.

Re: USCHO Music Thread 2: Rock On, Amigo.

It's another She Wants Revenge kind of day. I should also check out Joy Division, shouldn't I?
