Lots of former college players representing the stars & stripes.

We could really ruin their year if we get this one up there also.

Puck drops in a couple of minutes!

Group A as always is going to come down to the US/Canada matchup in the 3rd game. If they expect to medal they need to play better than this. Hasn't been a bad game but too many missed chances. Can't afford that against the bigger teams.

Good game, made some mistakes they need to fix, but I am excited to see how good they can be when they build better chemistry. Fourth line was pretty impressive.

The USA has only had one practice, folks. To beat a good team like the Swiss (the Swiss nucleus has had more time together and who beat Canada 2-0 in the last Olympics) is a very good first game.

They will be better in their next game as they now know what they need to work on. First Olympic Games are often awful - this one was a very good result against a very respectable team with an NHL goalie and other NHL players.

I know, this was more of a warm up than anything. Just need to bury their chances. Curious to see how Norway comes out tonight.

Also wonder if the Swiss had any intention to bring Nino up to the roster, he'd be young, but I think he could have provided them a much needed offensive spark.

Speaking only for myself. Don't mind him. Wish him well in the NHL and hope he excels for Team USA, but pride and joy?
