Up and down the Iles looking for a game: RPI @ Cornell, 2/15

Re: Up and down the Iles looking for a game: RPI @ Cornell, 2/15

Does anyone know how many players the Cornell women are missing due to the Olympics?

Four Cornellians on the Canadian team: Rebecca Johnston, Laura Fortino, Lauriane Rougeau, and Brianne Jenner. Only Jenner is on the current team, though, so it's not an excuse.

Can someone explain the Cornell nick name? Are they the Bears, or the Big Red? And if it is the latter, what happened to the Bears?

We are the Big Red. The bear is on the logo because the football team had a bear (an actual, live bear) mascot in the 30's, but it has never been a nickname.

Kurt and Ed,

It's Pyongyang, what do you expect? It doesn't have to make sense. :D

We once tried a horse at a football game, but that didn't work. :)

I am going to have to do more research on my PtC picks. That's two weeks in a row I have chosen someone who didn't play. :(
