  • The USCHO Fan Forum has migrated to a new plaform, xenForo. Most of the function of the forum should work in familiar ways. Please note that you can switch between light and dark modes by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right of the main menu bar. We are hoping that this new platform will prove to be faster and more reliable. Please feel free to explore its features.

Unofficial ASA Statistics in Sports Frozen Four Happy Hour

Patman

Rodent of Unusual Size
Unofficial in that we're borrowing "F4" from a sue happy organization and in that we are not actually being sponsored by the Statistics in Sports Section but they don't mind.

Location/Time, Whatnot:

Sharp Edge on Penn
922 Penn Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15222

Date: Next Friday, April 12
Time: 4-6 PM (before the baseball game)

Contact: acthomas@stat.cmu.edu

Note: This is also Quinnipiac's bar for Thursday/Saturday.

Alright, geek wanteth, geek geteth. The general aim of this is just to have a general informal discussion about the use of statistics weakly or strongly in sports but as this is the Frozen Four this will be geared more towards ice hockey. We welcome anybody with a penchant for mathematics or sports and hopefully both. In either case, the bar appears to have good food and beer.

If you have questions don't feel like contacting Andrew please drop me a line through USCHO's contact system. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT MY PROFESSIONAL E-MAIL... I don't get in trouble but I like to keep the two separate. Enough people at work do it anyways but they don't pretend to be professional.
