Wolverines took the opener, 4-1.

Reid Ellingson in net for the Wildcats this evening. Rest of their lineup is pretty much the same.

Wolverines have a few changes on defense from Kevin Clare getting injured last night. Merrill paired with Chiasson and Moffie with Serville. Jeff Rohrkemper in for Traivs Lynch on the third line, too.

Game is on Fox Sports Detroit, and yes, their announcers are actually LIVE at Yost. Quite a concept!

I am also LIVE at Yost in the press box and got a live blog going below for anyone who wants to follow and chat.

6 left in the first. NMU has had some chances, but MI has more sustained pressure in the offensive zone.

MI outplaying NMU for most of the period. I think NMU needs to pass a bit more in the o-zone, as it looks like the puck-carrier always tries to take it to the net himself, and ends up losing it.
