I understand HFH is all but sold out. Good news!
RPI football result-RPI 21 Hobart 20. Now let's hope our boys can win one on the ice today also. Michigan has always had very good teams but somehow we have earned a 7-5-1 record against them over the years and certainly would like to get the win column to an even number!
Hobart had scored a touchdown on the last play in regulation, but failed on the two point conversion. Hopefully THAT woe doesn't carry over, because there's no PAT in hockey.![]()
When healthy, like that line a lot. Still, the entire line up just seems small when you look at all the weights.RPI Lines are out.....MNM line back together.....http://www.rpiathletics.com/documents/2015/10/24//RPI_Lines_MICH.pdf?id=2292
They got a bit greedy. They did not want to settle for the tie in regulation. Got to give the coach credit for having the balls to risk it all. But OT would not have been a bad choice since they had out gained us in yardage by a lot and moved the ball well. Not sure if i would have the guts to make the call he did and risk it all on a pass when he had a sure PAT with his kicker.

Would have been a devastating loss for us had the pass worked. But, with the win, we have put ourselves in a fairly good post season position. If not for that 3 point loss to SLU, a game we virtually gave away, we would be undefeated in the league and with only one loss, perhaps even in contention for an NCAA division III bid.I was getting ready to call them Nebraska.

Tonight is a huge game. I have never been good at predicting these things but i really think we can outskate this team and create some offensive chances. i would hope we can jump on the early since they played last night and may not have their legs under them right away.
Kevin Curtis did the ECAC Championship game last year & the Frozen Four. Chris Pitoscia was most recently an ECHL on ice official along w/USHL. This might be his first year in the ECAC.Those are names of referees I haven't seen... don't tell me the ugly helmets insisted on bringing their own officials too...
I try to break out games down to the first 5 minutes and last 5 minutes of each period and then everything else in the middle of the 3 periods i kind of group together. We seem to take our worst penalties, give up the glaring chances, and just not have much jump in those 5 minute sessions. We come out of the locker room often flat and as you mention we sometimes (perhaps more than sometimes) play flat the end of the periods. We have yet, after all these years, learned to play with the lead. How often do we start the third period tied or ahead only to give that lead up quickly? The Alaska trip was the perfect example of how to get the lead, and then lose it.SLU beat Springfield today, so it hurts even more.
I'd rather we played our game for the full 65 minutes. No flat period starts, no coasting to the horn, just poise and control. Win, lose, or tie, play like champs.
