Union vs RPI, Mayor’s Cup, 1/28/2023

We didn't want anybody to get injured in this exhibition game, and that didn't happen.

But we got a couple players with game disqualifications, so they're going to miss RPI's next league game, even though they weren't injured.

Both DQs were really stupid things to do, and a product of getting frustrated with Union's physical play.

I've seen RPI play worse offensively than they did tonight, but 4 of the goals were really basic defensive mistakes. Union also clearly won the physical battle. Really pushed RPI around. That clearly led to frustration and some poor decisions that will keep a couple players out for a game.

I didn't say you were; I was reacting to the suggestion that he should be pulled to "save confidence." I am not sure you lose confidence as a goalie when the defenders in front of you hang you out to dry.

Thanks for the clarification. But the confidence thing is notjust about last night. He has not been himself the last handful of games. And I am sure that he is starting to question himself right now.
JMO.
