I know that the team thinks that this is a great game against a rival, but I don't.
I would rather see an off weekend at this time of the year or a meaningful game.
I will be listening tonight, and hope that no one gets hurt.

I certainly don't want to see anyone hurt. As opposed to people from my era, current students and the team regard Union as the biggest rival, so I expect the team to take this game very seriously. It's the same as the Beanpot tourney which the four teams (except perhaps Harvard) take very seriously even though it doesn't count in league standings.

On the USCHO Main Page, Dan Rubin's ECAC Hockey column is centered on 'rivalry weekend' with a long focus on Union and what the game means to them. While it's couched in saccharin 'coach-speak', maybe it provides a little electronic bulletin board material? ;)

Congrats to the women on retaining the Cup with a 3-1 win thanks to Maddy Peterson’s third period hat trick!
Now hopefully the men can make it a sweep tonight. LGR!

I'm listening on WRPI, with Kurt Stutt on play-by-play.

Sounds like a fairly enthusiastic crowd on hand, though they have had no goals to cheer for as yet.
