Union @ Rensselaer - 11/13/10

Re: Union @ Rensselaer - 11/13/10

Kennedy could be out for some time-there are a myriad of ways to break something in the hand and lots of little bones. Really depends exactly on what is broken and if it can be casted in a position of motion. Coach did not sound optimistic however.

Saw John in the hallway leading to the locker rooms when I went to interview Seth, it's already casted and his arm is in a sling.

Did you get to see how far up the cast extends? and whether his hand was in a flexion position-as if it was a semi fist? It could help to indicate where the break is and how long we might be without him.

I wonder if Brutlag will be practicing on D.

Couldn't see how far it went up as he had a suit jacket on, but it was definitely NOT in a fexion position.

J; That is not a good sign. If he is not in the flexion position they do not expect him to be out of the cast for some time and are certainly not expecting motion for a long time. I suspect it may be a metacarpal or 2. That could mean 3-4 months(and i guess that is the season).

If only we had some sort of power play. What seemed promising earlier in the season has become a rather weak power play.
