Union Hockey Postseason Thread: Care to Dance?

Re: Union Hockey Postseason Thread: Care to Dance?

There have been a lot of reports, rumors and speculation swirling around Nate Leaman. The same thing happened at the end of last season. His track record speaks for itself having elevated Union's moribund program by force of sheer will while getting tepid support (until recently) from the Administration and recruiting excellent talent without the benefit of athletic scholarships.

He would improve any program that he heads but in all candor I would be surprised to see him take the UML job. I think he would be looking to leave for the right situation and frankly I'm not sure that UML would qualify in that regard, no offense intended. Of course this is sheer speculation on my part.
No offense taken ... and thanks for your insight.

What is the word around the school concerning Rick Bennett and how do the players feel about him as a coach and recruiter

To the best of my knowledge Coach Bennett is well respected and liked by his players and I think he has been an excellent recruiter, well received by players and their parents. He and Ben Barr have certainly have worked their rear ends off beating the bushes for Union recruits. He would be a big loss, IMO, were we to lose him.
