Noticed that the player currently tied with Ryan Scarfo for the scoring lead in the BCHL is Max Coatta of Penticton, who is the younger brother of U's Sam Coatta. He was considered a top player in Minnesota HS hockey the last couple years. I seldom make predictions on who the coaches may be targeting for recruits, but the brother connection has worked in the past.

Big changes to the pairwise may be in the offing. http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2013/09/18_home-road_balance_will_be.php It looks like the TUC criterion may be out and new quality of wins and weighting of home and away wins factors will be added. If this helps to get the Minnys and BCs et al. on the road, I'm all for it. The upper echelon teams play a pitiful number of road OOC games, mainly because they don't have to. Maybe now that will change.
Also, I checked MSG Network schedule and Rangers Flames is on air Monday at 9:00 so maybe be get to see Jooris in action v. Blues Shirts.

I had Union 4th in the media poll I turned in.
I had Bodie and Gostisbehere as the two defensemen on my preseason all-conference team.

Being new to the hockey boards I will take the easy way out -- in no particular order 1-4 Cornell, Union, RPI, Q 5-8 Yale, Dartmouth, Harvard, St.L 9-12 Brown, Colgate, Princeton, Clarkson. Could be swayed to switch Cornell and Yale but anticipating a bit of a hangover effect for Yale.
