I was listening to last night's game on WRPI's Internet stream.
When the game was over, after the Cornell band played the obligatory "Give My Regards to Davy," I thought I heard them play an advertising jingle I haven't heard for many a year - "Schaefer is the one beer to have when you're having more than one."
I haven't seen Schaefer beer in this part of Pennsylvania in a long, long time. Is it still popular in the Ithaca area, or is this just a legacy-type song that the band plays because it's been playing it forever, even if nobody remembers the product the song was written to advertise?

Ice surface is problematic. Apparently repairs are scheduled for this summer. Ithaca has been having summer weather the last few days and the women played just before the men. Third period underway.
