If Cornell wins, they will face Brown in the semi-finals; if Union wins they will play Harvard.

Same starting goalies as in the previous two games. Jeremy Downs (2001-2005 teams; Cornell Hockey Association Winner 2005; Wendell & Francella Earle Award, Senior Class 2005) joins Jason Weinstein on WHCU today.

Middling crowd. Nowhere near full, but not too bad for the third game in the series (not included in season ticket packages) and an afternoon game.

I fear the early goal was the worst thing that could happen to Cornell. Lulled into mistakenly thinking this game would be easy, Cornell lost its jump. Union, in contrast, accelerated its game, making sharp passes and as a result scored twice.

Icing on Cornell.:(

In both Cornell "Power Plays", vigorous Union forechecking has prevented any real scoring threats. 10:57 1st.

Mullin penalty for interference. 11:43 1st.

Penalty killed, but Union got set up and got several shots. Mullin doubled over and hobbled to the bench.
