Spot on Wholin1...my money says Bennett is the top canidate for the Providence job....If he isn't they are making a serious mistake....He has done Outstanding work at the U !!!!!!!!!!!I know we have other things on our collective minds after last night's debacle and with tonight's huge game, but I thought I'd go a bit off topic nonetheless. I have read in the past few days that both UMass Lowell and Providence are making coaching changes. I know that Nate watch will be underway as soon as this season ends, but I was hoping that if the did leave, and I'm not saying he will and certainly hope he doesn't, that Rick Bennett would have a shot at replacing him. I know he is highly respected and liked by his players and that he is an excellent recruiter and coach. No doubt he wants to be a head coach one day and he was on the short list a couple of years ago at Brown. I'm thinking that either of these two openings would be a great fit for him, particularly Providence where he played and was recently inducted into their athletic hall of fame. Anyway, just throwing it out there for possible discussion purposes.
