They played at the Shillelagh tournament last winter. We chanted "rascist mascot!" At them.

I've seen high school hockey games that were better than UMLowell vs Union, but to be fair, Minnesota has great h.s. hockey.

Union will not beat St. Cloud if St. Cloud plays the way they should play. Reading some of the comments in the DL's Not Dead thread makes it seem as though that might be a big if.

First of all, we were a different team then. I think we are more complete now but that's besides the point.

In the Shillelagh Tournament you are referring to, we were leading arguably the best team in the nation at the end of the first period and played competitively for the rest of the game. Then we did our job by beating UMass-Lowell. You can't fault us for that performance.

I will continue to say that we will put up a good fight against St. Cloud. I truly believe that.

I think it's because the UND/MN series is TOO early in the season. There's no buildup (with other games already being played). Neither team has played a real team yet.

Never underestimate the power of a single dummy fan from a school that's managed to win even less than SCSU choosing to take on the world in a truly embarrassing fashion, though.

Is this thread bringing detente to the Red Cloud/Brenthoven cold war? My god, this is EPIC. So many hall of fame moments already and we've still got three days before the puck drops.

With UnionMadHockey around, everyone. I'm hoping he asks out ctf, because the last time someone propositioned an MTU fan, it was epic.
