Union at RPI, 10/28/2022

Three observations from tonight’s game:
1. The goal that was waived off was the right call. I saw it clearly hit the crossbar but didn’t go in.
2. One of the Union players had a completely wide open net, but somehow shot the puck right to Watson.
3. Great crowd tonight, lots of enthusiasm and a complete lack of Union fans except for their small band.

I lost the internet in the middle of the game and could not post.
But I saw a very competitive game. Up tempo throughout and great team defense on both sides.
There were not very many good scoring chances, and I believe that Union had most of those.
Watson was the difference in the game. He came up very big when he had to. And the one goal that he let in was either a very talented shot, or very lucky. I guess it depends on who you were rooting for to decide.
The game was a little chippy around both nets and I expect more of that today.
And one last observation, Lee has to get his act together.
