Re: UNH Wildcats v UMaine Black Bears Big Arena Matchup Extravaganza Friday Dec. 30

No doubt about it.....Kelleher owns Maine.

FINAL - UNH, 6-4 Kelleher with 2 goals and 2 assists on the night.

Nice win for the 'Cats two players (TyK and Salvaggio) have multi point nights Fregona gets his first and Eiserman gets a fun shortie. Hats off to DT with a solid (enough) effort. Onto the second half here comes UML...

Hi HR - I think Tirone's effort was more than solid (enough) ... I didn't see the first goal (and I know DT didn't see the meaningless 4th goal), so I'll defer to others on that one. But the two Schurhamer goals were both ripped from the top of the slot through at least partial screens, and there were at least a half-dozen saves Tirone made when the game was in the balance to more than make up for any earlier shortcomings.

I don't know who got the 3 stars last night (Kelleher had to be #1, with the go-ahead goal to make it 3-2 and then setting up Salvaggio's clincher) but without Tirone's play when the game was in the balance, UNH doesn't win.

Well guess I felt a clarification of sorts was necessary as some would say giving up 4 goals would not necessarily be seen as stellar. Just felt UNH wasn't in danger of losing despite our defensive shortcomings. But I'll give you the D observations and that DT made the diff. At least my score prediction was somewhat in the ballpark 😉!

I think you had the score nailed until the ENG and the late mean-nothing UMaine goal IIRC, right?
