It would take this UNH team a month to score as many goals as that one did in 60 minutes....
Those early River Stones did have great attendance, but then it died down (perhaps as we did).
And Chuck, have you been to a game this year? Attendance has not been all that bad, look around HE and I'll bet we are 3rd or 4th. Cheering is decent and the crowd appears to into it. Yes they report more than are there but I have to believe it is tickets sold not fannys in the seats. Financially that helps but practically they should want real fans.
Hey for fun yesterday as an added note I traveled with another UNH hockey fanatic to Portland ME to watch Patrick Grasso play v the Maine Mariners. He was happy to see us and played well starting the game and getting an assist (had a hattie last week). ALSO on his team was Jake Rzcek and Joeseph Masonius. Both decent DMen (esp. JM) but boy the crowd did not like him lots of on ice chirping. I know alot of people don't consider the ECHL that great but I think the hockey is decent enough (too many fights maybe?) and it gives guys a place to continue to play. Mariners have a few Blackbearson their team like J.D. Greenway and Patrick Shea. Made for a fun afternoon and got a few raised eyebrows about our UNH jerseys HA!

The Stones were never great, but had good attendance (even great attendance at the free concert in Altamont). Since then, they have just been going through the motions, living on reputation.

Gosh that was a quick national search, wasn't it ...
Never has so much money and hype been generated, with such modest talent.
Mick has proven to be a genius businessman, gotta admit though ...
Please confirm that y'all have seen the Rolling Stones live, else stop this nonsense.![]()

Went to alma mater tonight to watch Caps coach son Peter play...great NESAC game with PSU losing in the last 2 minutes of the game on 2 quick Weslyan goals...kind of cool tho! I recognized the name immediately and wondered if he was indeed his son. Good player!
Big boy, too. Just the type that would slide easily into a reliable low-key gig in the 'Coast ... but with his dad's pedigree, I suspect his future lies in coaching or in some front office capacity somewhere. Good luck to him.
Yes, for sure! Would be interesting to see UNH play PSU...like you've said Chuck have some kind of NH tournament of sorts at the SNUH. I'm going to watch (internet) our recruit Tyler M play today; have heard he's going to be (or has the potential to be) one of the best goal tenders we've had come down the pike in awhile...his teams playing BU today and MC tomorrow as I mentioned.
Definitely. Why, do they play someone else's songs? ;-)![]()
No Clapton? If I wanted to see a live band whose best work was 50+ years old, had a brief resurgence in the '80's, and lacked any real musical virtuosity, I'd go see The Kinks before bothering with The Stones.
I've seen The Who, ELP, Deep Purple, Rush, Page-Plant (missed Led Zep live, much to my eternal chagrin), The Police, and numerous others, including probably five different versions of frickin' Foghat as a warm-up band for other bigger acts. They would all mop the floor with The Stones live. I also saw Rod Stewart once (with an old GF) back in the day, and as best as I can tell, the only differences between Rod and The Stones are (1) Rod stocked his touring band with talented LA studio musicians, and (2) Rod's concerts probably drew way hotter chicks.
The only musical performer more overrated than The Stones would be Jimmy Buffett. FACT.
Bring it on, Buffett "fans" (if anyone out there would dare admit to it) ... ;-)
