Re: UNH Wildcats 2016-2017 Tradition and Promise
The Wildcats had a home and home with Northeastern this past weekend, and actually took a game from them for the first time in 3 years(?), believe that! In actuality, if it wasn't for Bugalski in the second game the Wildcats could've had the 4 points......UNH is playing so much better than even a month ago! In Saturday's game, Bugalski stopped shots from all over the zone, every type of shot which wasn't what UNH had been doing.....now there down low rotation is working, hitting the points when they should, etc.....impressive! Defensively, again UNH has markedly improved.......with all the positives going for us, the schedule might not be doing us any favors.......as of today, UNH is tied with BU and UVM, who have played 1 and 3 fewer games! In fact, UNH has played the most of any of the HE teams!(why, he's on third, and I don't care!) Add to this that UNH has 5 home games left, with 1@ BU, 2@ Maine and 2@ UVM.........so is it to early to say it's playoff time already? Every team has those opponents that they think they should win against, look at how the Pats are 15 points over the Texans! But in essence, UNH cannot afford to think that any game is a given and must seriously look to win out the season to attain home ice! Are they good enough to win on the road in the playoffs? Sure but with 9 games left in conference, why think of anything but home ice! Do this Wildcats!!
