Hear that! Somehow "Talk Dirty to Me" just doesn't fit although the student section seems to dig it. My UNH alum daughter was with us at the PC game and she thought the pre recorded music basically reeked (her words).
They respond to the amber board which tells them to "swerve" during it, complete with stick figure arm waving animation. Who needs an HD jumbotron when you can have stick figures?! :D
Also on board with ending the PA music (excluding the pre-game build up) and replacing everything with the band. And if the AD won't let the team take the ice to "Black Betty" (how absurd, it's played almost every week now anyways) let the band have the start of the second and third periods too.

Great movie. Classic for it's time. The hockey scenes are priceless. It would be interesting to know who the hockey players were in those scenes. For some reason I think there may have been some UNH players from that era but I might be making that up!!
Harvard's
Harvard hockey players play the Harvard, Dartmouth, and Cornell teams in the movie.

OMG! Thanks for that Cloud9. Wasn't Michael Ontkean in a hockey movie? Maybe it was Slap Shot! IDK?

Very good Ref!

I was trying to get a pic of my daughter Deirdre with Bob Sweeney in the TD Bank suite at the Habs game wearing the Stanley Cup ring but can't figure out how to do it. Oh well, it's a cool pic.

You mean to post on this forum? Ask ClOuD9...he does a great job with stuff like that...would love to see that...

Ya. I'll try it thanks to Cloud9 for the info.

Black Betty, black magic, whatever it takes.

I'm kind of wondering if/when hey are going to replace that enlarged team pic you can stand with for a fun pic! Kind of a drag to walk by and see last year's team...get with it already!! 😉 I must say our pregame intro is the best I've seen in my short tenure following the team wish / wonder if any thinks much about the rest of the show. Who's in charge of this kind of stuff anyone know?

I thought they banned Black Betty but I swear they came out to it in the third period...Really...what is the difference

They've been playing it again for the last year and a half or so, either in tied games or when UNH is leading. The timing can be somewhat random. It raises the question that if the song is unbanned (as it seemingly is) why can't it be played when the team takes the ice to help create some atmosphere? The only reason that comes to mind is that it would be seen as the AD conceding they were wrong.

The intro was much better in years past when the arena actually clapped along to "Two Step" as the song built, died off a few seasons ago. Instead of a consistent one speed clap it became a series of slow claps before it disappeared completely.
The "Also sprach Zarathustra" (2001: A Space Odyssey), Dave Matthews "Two Step", Opus "Live Is Life" combo has been consistent since at least the late 90's, "O Fortuna" was added around 2006 or 2007 from memory.

Really like two of tonight's lines: Kelleher, Pots and Yzerman; Downing, Willows and Foegele. Foegele gets his first goal tonight! Smiley Face!
