Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Okay if UNH can hang on for the win they get home ice. NUTS.

UNH owes BU a big thank you after their sweep of NU. Did not see that coming.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Holy excrement. If they can hold on to this wreck, they will host NU in two weeks.

Let's see if they can make better use of this week off than the last one.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

I'll take it. It was a long shot but the fact remains that UNH is hosting a team they have beaten already this year with a trip to the Garden on the line. I don't care how it happened, all I know is I'll be buying my tickets this week. The box office better have my seats ready. Add the Bruins game on the 13th and I'm looking at hockey at least 3 days in a row, maybe 4.

Mc outshot UNH 51-21. Chuck you are da man;)

Well I guess DeSmith is da man too:)

The Cats were just toying with us all along, as cats will do.

would love to here from someone at the game, was their effort tonight worst than last night.clearly the team couldn't possibly ready to play.through the first 30 min, getting outshot 35-9, how is that humanly possible to the worst team in hockey east.

Yup out shot 35-9, Desmith made some great saves and kept them in the game. They had trouble getting anything going for the first period and a half yet were still only down 1-0. One shot ties the game then they got some legs under them. It's hockey.

Ok so coming from newbie here :). The first period wasn't stellar BUT I thought we kept pace and put in a much better effort. MC plays a tough scrappy game; we had a better fore check than last night. Thought we played a very poised third period; the back to back goals were amazing.
That's my take on it and am so glad the Hockey Gods were looking out for us (for a change iMHO)
