Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Looks like UNH is offering some discounted tickets for each of the two games against Notre Dame game this weekend.

Excerpt from UNH/ticketmaster
"The arctic-like conditions have caused Notre Dame to travel light this weekend and they have returned nearly all of their consignment tickets. We are offering our fans an opportunity to purchase these tickets for a discounted price of $12!...Tickets for this promotion are available in section 111 by using the promotional code 'NDT'. These seats are reserved, non-chairbacks, and are located directly across the arena from the UNH student sections."

Too bad I'm not in NH anymore to take advantage of this!

Allen Lessels on College Hockey: For UNH, time is now:
"UNH coach Dick Umile said he is likely to break up what has been his top line for most of two months and move senior Nick Sorkin from left wing to center."

Wildcats prep for big series with Notre Dame:
"Justin Agosta looked a little weary on Wednesday — with good reason. The senior defenseman played more than 30 minutes in each of the last two games against Maine. He logged 35 shifts in Friday’s 3-2 win and 37 in Saturday’s 4-2 loss."

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Very gutsy win by the 'Cats tonite! Total team effort; Pesce, Goumas played out of their minds ; way to dig in and score after that shortie. Another big game from DeSmith! Let's Go 'Cats for round 2 tomorrow...

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Anybody have a clue why Maller got benched?

Thought Quast looked solid during his limited shifts. Lotta minutes for the other four D.

Short turnaround won't be easy on the D, but should be worse for ND in general. Let's get another couple points tomorrow!

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Thought that those line changes were a mess in the first, but began to jell a bit better in the second and third. Another great SOG loss for the Cats, which is a good thing, according to Chuck. ;) And, the Cats have climbed back to third in SOS. So, the win on Friday night makes up for 2008 debacle in the Springs; need win on Saturday night to make up for 2011 post-season.

I wonder if the UNH D and DeSmith had anything to do with that SOG loss?;)

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Anybody got any tix they want to sell for today's game? I need two.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Wins are good. :)

SOG is meaningless. :D

Just win, baby.

When did this place turn into the Wildcat Ticket Agency?? ;)

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Thought whoever your broadcasters were do a pretty good job. So often when I have to watch or listen to a Notre Dame game, those covering it do a poor job. I don't even like to listen to NDs own radio broadcasts. But other than being a little sparse on production -- the only replays were a handful of replays of goals -- I thought both the playXplay and the analyst called a good game.

Just tryin' to get some tix to what should be a great game to watch. Jaysus man lighten up;):D

The Forum has .... under the Community subheading .... something called "Tickets and Events"

Not sure it gets used as much as in the old days when tickets were scarce.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

e.cat did ya check with Greg? I bought a tix just for myself the other day and was bummed when I realized I could've helped him out still with his..are they sold out? I saw there were few tix left!

On another note...I'd like to give big kudos to Brett Pesce for the way he's amped up his game the past few...sure he's always giving a great effort but he's really done the job as of late. Not just talking about his offense (which is surely appreciated son) but just his leadership and presence on the ice. The phrase "defense wins games" was surely apparent esp. in the first with UNH adjusting to the line changes. Coach U said he "looked like TvR" out there in the New Hampshire today but I think he's just rising to the occasion :) Keep on rising Brett! You are that "warrior" your coach says you are! Here's hoping the 'Cats pull out all the stops today; it's time.

Yes, the Cats really, really need the sweep. Need to leapfrog Notre Dame, then hold off UVM by sweeping them, too. But, one game at a time. New lines should improve over time, I hope.

Thanks Sonar. I thought there was a place here for tix. I'll check it.

Hey there Ref. No I didn't check with Greg because I was planning on watching the NESN feed, so it was kinda spur of the moment. It's all good. Thanks for the tip though. Enjoy the game:)

Re: UNH Wildcats 2013-14 Season Thread (Part 2)

Another great game so far. NESN feed really exceptional. Willows shortie on the dangle was a beauty.
