Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

Ok, let us get this thread back on track and discuss the upcoming games against the Huskies and Warriors this weekend. Time to right the ship and win games against teams with losing records.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

Only because it is true! My first UNH hockey memory was as a 4 year old, I was too young to defend myself... I went to a ton of games with my dad as a kid (well I still do) it has always been something we do together... many memories of standing in Snively as the players left the ice (the smile of a kid getting handed a puck or a high-five), hot dogs at the games, and catching pucks during warm-ups... (sniff) ... good lord I need a couch to lie on ;)

Any fan of the Red Sox (well since the 70's-80's and before) can relate to the plight of a UNH Hockey fan... Even the BC hockey fans prior to the 2000's. UNH has never won, but not winning in my life time is close enough to never for me, it is all relative after all, might even be less painful to have never won. Actually the BC fans might have been tormented worse pre 2001, UNH is a tease but d@mn BC just loved ripping you guy’s apart. For long time fans the euphoria of the last 5 years and 3 titles must be off the charts, does it get kinda ho-hum another title? …nevermind I don't want to know :D

Keep the faith! This is the year;)

By the way, I've always liked Lee:)

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

Good riddance and have fun up in Lee, Heard Deliverance was scouting it out to do a sequel and were going to have the locals join in as they are looking to beef up the original version.

Based upon your grammar, or lack there of, the lead role is waiting..

"I am up front all the info I have"

"I have no intentions participating in"

Tragic is living in Lee and having a UNH degree.

That is you at the 10 second mark http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gLN3QoN-q8
When you can't win by logic, attack the grammar and spelling. But since you have brought the subject up,

Hokydad said:
...or lack there of...Waiting another year had nothing what so ever to do with it...
The one thing he didn't lose in this tragic fairy tail is his dignity.

etc. etc. Regarding your earlier mention of crops, I can only find stems and seeds in yours. But best of luck anyway.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

You would think a local Boston boy would get scooped up by a Hockey East team. You would think he would jump at the chance. Frankly, I dont buy the story. Have a nice

Who gives a **** if you buy it or not. Seeing that you said frankly, I will put more stock in it.

Remember, we are living in a country where the majority of its citizens who voted for an immigrant for President

 Oh. My. God. He can't shut his mouth and he's a birther as well... HOKYDAD IS DONALD TRUMP!!! :p

At the end of the day, all wasted energy and bs outside one thing.

You get the Cedar Rapids player vs MV.

This is him and your new recruit going head to head two weeks ago.

Good luck

not sure what's worse, the hockey, the camera work, the announcing or the background music or the REPLAY'S at the beginning instead of Replays. Thanks for the good luck though, Needed that extra boost to get through this foggy day ;)

I can assure you it is not the hockey. Best junior league in N America by a very wide margin. Closer to pro hockey than D 1 in style of play as well.
Half shields, sticks down, much more creativity. Not the bowling alley, dump and chase/lock crap we see every weekend, outside one or two teams

Also, the ability to drop the gloves now and again make it more respectable. Can't disagree with the half shields = sticks down = better game in some sense, more respect for each other. The dozens of fans in attendance seemed to enjoy it.

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

Guess who was the first star again last night? Hmmmmmmm

MV from Tri City, goal and 2 assists, including the game winner, again and 1st star of the game again. Again, again, again

Now this is just getting funny and pathetic. I wonder if there is a restraining order out?

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

So, couple of games coming up this weekend.

Friday @ Matthews and Saturday v Merrimack.

I want to go to Boston tomorrow, grab dinner at Fire & Ice (campy, I know, but we love it) before game. Wife says, "$$$".

I think UNH wins 3-1 at NU, wins 4-2 at home. I think they're ready for a 4 point weekend, now that Coach has shown he isn't afraid to shake up the lines / sit upperclassmen if warranted (which I love by the way).

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

Go to Conor Larkin's...Great food right near Matthews, it's a college bar, but lots of older than college people pre and post hockey games. Great food for all under $10 and great deals on pitchers.

Thanks for the info!

And Shawn - I don't have to work Friday, so I guess I've just been a day ahead all week haha . . .

Re: UNH Wildcats 2012-2013 Season Thread

Well with the turn to actually talking about what is going on the ice and the current season going on. The next 2 weekends are big weekends to secure home ice and putting a little separation with Merrimack and Providence. Can’t have any let down, as also gaining some games in hand on BC and BU that can be big. Did like what I saw out of the line changes last Saturday as unhpuckfan2001 pointed out like to see Umile putting everyone on notice that there is no job secure, and with some of the freshman stepping up everyone should be fighting for ice time. Seeing Speelman on the “4th” line should make it clear to everyone that he is going to go with the hot hand and the players who are going give the team the best chance to won. Nothing is wrong with some healthy competition. Looking fowward to this weekends game and see how they come out after a solid performance last Saturday
