Ya sadly for that franchise, reminiscent of Blue Monday.

Horrific. That 9th inning sharp grounder goes one inch to the left, and they get to play a 168th game. What a way for a year's work with the best record in baseball to end.

Also feel bad for the O's -- picked to finish last, and they come within a whisker of downing the Evil Empire. Great stadium to visit, and nice folks. Have been there many times when the Sox were in town, as it's an easy Amtrak hop for me...

I have something called a NEXUS card. Gives me a dedicated lane, with next to no-one in it, and pretty much just breeze through. No way I'm waiting an hour in line just to get some gasoline and groceries.

Great to hear -- I didn't know about that NEXUS possibility. Decades ago, crossed into Quebec in a very remote spot (just a very rural one lane road) with my now-wife, back when we were both still students. So long ago that you could hitchhike from NH to Montreal for the weekend.

One "guard" eventually showed up, found something slightly embarassing in her backpack (don't even remember what it was), turned red and sent us through. Those were the days...

Ya for those of us that live within 10 minutes of the border it's a pretty awesome deal. 50 bucks for 5 years (A passport in Canada costs 85 bucks for 5 years). I pay less for premium unleaded in WA state than I do for regular unleaded in Canada. And meat, dairy and eggs cost way less on your side too.

In hockey news, Joey Holka scores to tie things up for SCSU.

I figure after my second trip I'd made my 50 bucks back. It doesn't hurt that our dollar is at par with your's now too.
