UNH vs Notre Dame-- Northeast Regional Final

Re: UNH vs Notre Dame-- Northeast Regional Final

Goumas take it to the net and shoot no fancy stuff

Re: UNH vs Notre Dame-- Northeast Regional Final

I'm not seeing much urgency from the Cats. The mortuary part ain't helping.

Re: UNH vs Notre Dame-- Northeast Regional Final

I would give UNH a C+ for that first period. First 7:00 were solid, but nothing to show for it. ND gets a goal that I doubt DiGi saw from the point. Other than that, the period was so-so. Room for improvement. ND 1, UNH 0 ... end of 1st.

Re: UNH vs Notre Dame-- Northeast Regional Final

End of 1

UND 1 - UNH 0

I'm starting to have that same feeling that I had during the MC game in the HE championships, that this is not going to end well.

I'd give them a solid B... Play like that for the next two periods and I like our chances... We need more shots on net, and a little improvement on defense, but overall a decent period...

Re: UNH vs Notre Dame-- Northeast Regional Final

For all of the complaining I've seen (not on this thread) about officiating, in all of the games I've watched this weekend the officials are not calling the inconsequential interference penalties, and are ignoring incidental contact. That's a good trend.
But here, ND is sending in a two-man forecheck à la Jackie Parker and disrupting things.
I wasn't sure on the goal, but was DiGirolamo screened by his own man?

I'm trying a positive approach to tonights game... See if that changes the fortunes of UNH...

Ill bring some reverse psychology, unh never plays well against a trapping team. Nd is also making them go the full length of ice with there break out, zero odd man rushes, don't like how this is going. Play not to lose, but play to win and leave it all out there.

He was really deep in the net, almost on the goal line...

Mike Beck with the assist on the ND goal...
