UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

any Maine fans surprised Diamond isn't playing, Gus with an even strength goal, yea. Now if Dee would get going

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

Just like last night, Gustav Nyquist ties it -- his fourth of the weekend (!)

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

UNH 7 Nyquist 4 Maine 0.

Somebody needs to hit Nyquist. Not enough to hurt him, obviously, but enough to slow him down in the UNH zone.

Other ref arrived...

Almost hit Gus, nice hold anyway

maybe timmy is trying to send him a message. Don't understand why you don't play him in a must win game IMO

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

EAG makes it 2-1 Maine, right before a penalty on Austin Block (highsticking?). Power still play to follow, under the new rules.

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

Thats the best I've seen Dimmen move since he got hurt

maybe timmy did the math...
the ONLY must win games from here on out are the Hockey east playoff games.
I do not think that even if Maine finishes without a loss they can get high enough in the pairwise to make the tournament.
there are only 3 games left that can help them, the rest of the games cannot raise their rpi

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

Nyquist on the doorstep as DiGi covers up. Almost his 5th on the weekend.

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

Henrion ties it with 39.2 ticks left, afetr Hardowa breaks up a 3 on 1.

2-2 after one complete.

Re: UNH vs. Maine: The Border War, Part 3

Henrion made a great play to break up a flying 3-1, pushed the puck out and Henrion took advantage.

DiGiralamo looks a little less settled tonight; just before second Maine goal my wife and I observed that his rebound control was sloppy, leaving a lot of pucks in front. Maine had a couple really good chances that they just barely missed. Hope Matt can settle down.

Mowers10 was just in a singing contest on the ice @ the Whitt. He was robbed.

Sorry, but not knowing th chorus to Bob Segers "Old Time Rock'n' Roll" after the last guy nailed Sweet Caroline... tough act to follow!

I wish they'd move the speakers out so if you're sitting in the front you can understand the announcers...
