UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harvard

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

I think this game is being played in the library.

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

9:04 gone in the third.

6-1 UNH

Not too many hockey players whose familiarity with bluegrass music is no doubt stronger than their French. :p

UNH scores!!! AUSTIN BLOCK SCORES TO MAKE IT 7-1 UNH!!

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

6:59 to play in regulation.

7-1 UNH

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

Austin Block makes it 7-1 UNH off a deflection midway through the 3rd.

Wish Chad were here -- in snoozers like this we could talk about beer. I'm always praising my favorite, Rochefort Trappiste 10. Here's what a guy from your town said about it on ratebeer.com (love it!):

5 (top possible rating)

AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20 TimInBC (3) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 10, 2011

With my first sip of this beer, I saw unicorns and heard angels playing silver trumpets. This beer is in the same league of human achievement as Michelangelo’s David or a Vermeer or Sainte-Chapelle in Paris. It bursts with a complex blend of flavours, it’s smooth, it has a long, long finish, and the alcohol hits you in the back of the head with a heavily padded hammer. This is a magnificent beer, and for me it’s the gold standard.

UNH scores!!! STEVIE MOSES WITH HIS FOURTH OF THE GAME MAKES IT 8-1 WILDCATS!!!

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

UNH scores!!! GRAYSON DOWNING SCORES TO MAKE IT 9-1 UNH!!!

Editorial comment: I'm not sure even UNH can blow this lead.

Well I do have a very nice apple cider. It's got a nice hue and tastes great.

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

2:23 to play in one of the most agonizing, pointless games of the year.

9-1 UNH

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

Stevie Moses with his 4th of the game makes it 8-1 UNH. Then Vanderhouk makes it 9-1.

Before we get too pumped up about this, UAH is now being outscored 60 to 11 on the season (almost through their 15th game).

It was just 2-1 after the first period.

Thankfully this one is over. Not even gonna bother giving a post game wrap up. Nothing to gain from this game as it was basically like playing a Canadian university team.

UNH 9 - UAH 1

Re: UNH vs. invading Confererates Our attempted rebound from the cluster---k at Harv

Mercilessly, it's over -- 9-1 UNH is the final.

Sad to see UAH send their program after this season -- they have 9 freshmen on the roster, and 8 sophomores.

They did tie Air Force 1-1, so that's cool.

Hey, New Brunswick gave us a decent game, and a few others no doubt could as well. But this one was a mismatch -- even though they were gutsy in the 1st and controlled play with a forecheck for 4 minutes straight.

Hope their lower classmen can find good schools/squads to transfer to (as those from Penn and St. Louis did).

Ya this has to be gutting for these poor kids. Playing for a lame duck program in what amounts to nothing more than a series of exhibition games against schools that are using the games as nothing more than tune ups. I feel for these kids and really hope they wind up landing on their feet somewhere.

Bingo. They played a classy and gutsy game -- no cheap shots once they started to get blown out by a stronger team and program.

Ending the program is tough for them, but they should hold their heads high. And "Boom Boom" would be proud of his grandson's shorthanded goal.

Good night, Dean! 9'ers boy as well...

Good night Richard, a pleasure as always. If it's on where you are, the Grey Cup (Canadian Superbowl) is being played tomorrow (6:30 EST kickoff). My BC Lions are playing the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The Lions are the last time to host and win the Grey Cup, doing it in 1994 when they beat the Baltimore Stallions (now the Montreal Alouettes). Should be a pretty good game.

Cool -- good luck to BC (I hardly ever say that).

As I said earlier I did get to watch the Winnipeg Blue Bombers pull out a nice last minute win against Montreal's Alouettes. Will look to try to find the Grey Cup Final on TV tomorrow...
