Unh @ uml 11/6

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

Evening Gentlemen, thought I'd make a rare score thread appearance tonight while keeping tabs on this and watching the B's. Speelman seems to be really coming into his own early on this season with some big goals the last few games.

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

It was a blast doing shows, actually I started during the summertime as never went to UNH. I would be on air during Summer and Winter breaks 1981-84. Fond memories of breaking into the MUB opening the back window to open up for the day at 5:45 AM, more often than not I'd throw on Kansas - Song For America so I could have time to pull my albums. Good times.
Good times indeed. Plus way back in my era, the labels would flood the college stations with free albums, and there was always a pile of them (extras and discards) that the station director would let us pick through. I think there's more than a few in the basement that still have a WUNH sticker on them.

Lowell going on the power play again -- still 1-0 UNH.

Hey, Mike... yep, agree about Speelman. Love his sophomore line with linemates Hardowa and Block, too.

Of course... UNH dominates and just can't get that second goal and now UML gets the PPG. 1-1 now.

Hey, Chad -- welcome aboard, and we missed you last night! UNH with about 200 shots tonight, but just the one goal...

Always a bad thing... getting shot after shot after shot, but not converting. Hopefully, we pot a few and put this baby to bed.

Beer of the night for me~~>> Samuel Adams Boston Lager

Welcome aboard, UNHRouge5.

Uggh, seems like Lowell continues to subscribe to that 2007 Anaheim Ducks mostly mucking and grinding with a side of agitator style of play which draws penalties galore for those that will take the bait.

I was working on a little 5 litre mini-keg of Newcastle Brown Ale, but managed to overchill it so much that it won't dispense. So I'll go down to the cellar and forage for something different and more cooperative...

Henrion puts the Cats back up 2-1 with 6:35 left in the 2nd...

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

Cats GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLLL!!!!!! JOHN HENRION GETS IT IN AS HIS LINE WAS MAKING CHANGES... BUT STILL... IT IS A NIFTY SHOT AND PUTS THE CATS UP 2-1!!

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

49.9 seconds left and UNH's Mike Sislo heads back to the box for hooking.... eeshhhh.... guess we won't learn, will we? At least this is at the end of the period and the UML PP is likely to be split up by the intermission break. Thankfully.

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

Given the amount of time in the box in the 2nd, I guess we can be thankful for it. Stay out of the box and pepper the hell out of them in the 3rd

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

3rd period underway and UNH has killed off the rest of the Sislo penalty.

Re: Unh @ uml 11/6

Am I the only one on this thread that thinks that using phone lines back to the studio to broadcast radio games seems wayyyyy archaic? What the hell? It is 2010.. why are we still using 1940s technology. Also, why don't the announcers have laptops with them that are connected to the internet. Half the time they announce scores that are old/inaccurate.... I am surprised that the station could not float these guys a few hundred bucks for a computer or two. I am not asking for them to split the atom or come up with the formula for cold fusion here. Just please enter the 2010s.... PLEASE!
