UNH @ NU: wild cats vs. dormant dogs

Re: UNH @ NU: wild cats vs. dormant dogs

Northeastern should not be underestimated. They were far more effective at competing against BC than Denver was. The stats from that game shows that NU played them pretty close to even. The shots on goal were even and the winning goal (a power play goal) did not occur until 12:41 of the third period. The second goal was an empty netter with 10 seconds left in the game.

So Sparky oops I mean Slasher, when you say "Choker", are you in reference to the 2, 3 goal leads that last years National Champs blew against UNH?

yeah BC had a rough year last year. Don't kick them while they're down

Re: UNH @ NU: wild cats vs. dormant dogs

Well, UNH has clearly scored a first period goal, against Michigan. It's just that Hansen was the ref on the ice and waived the goal off.

yeah, he was pretty brutal.... but chalk the 'tie' up to UNH's putrid special teams and Hunwick standing on his head. UNH still played a great game 5 on 5....

Re: UNH @ NU: wild cats vs. dormant dogs

And the Hockey East refs owed one to Michigan for the regional final last year. Also, the puck was sitting right under Hunwick for at least 2 seconds. Not hard for a ref to lose sight of it there.

I disagree.... Michigan was on the opposite end of a Hockey east ref gift in the NCAAs in 2000 in Albany when Fitzgerald disallowed a Colgate OT goal that was already in the net when the whistle blew, so as far as I'm concerned, they were even after last year :p

Umm, really? You can't be serious. I suppose I could remind you about a certain 4-1 lead UNH had in the 2008 Hockey East semis vs. BC that didnt exactly end too well for your Wildcats...

Looks like someone is missing some chromosomes!!!

Those red little dots under your name fit you well since it seems like you're always on your period.

Re: UNH @ NU: wild cats vs. dormant dogs

Hope you UNH fans that made the trip to Matthews, enjoyed the gm last night. That was a very disciplined performance (barring those 2 quick penalties), by your club. I don't think NU got their first PP until the 3rd period (not that it matters because right now we don't seem to know what to do with the man advantage):)

Hope we learn a bit of disciplined skating like what i saw in your club last night.
