Sad to hear of the passing of Barry Melrose. Met him at a rink in Glens Falls New York where my son was playing against his son in a Pee Wee game. Couldn’t have been nicer and took the time to chat mullet et al. RIP

Loved Barry. He stopped me on the street outside the Fleet Center before the HE semis asking for directions to some bar.

I was in the Arena, of course, so only got to experience the ESPNU commentary of the game after-the-fact. But to this day watching and listening to that video never fails to cheer me up, a poignant reminder of just how fun and exciting UNH hockey used to be ...
