UNH at UMass - 01/08/11

Re: UNH at UMass - 01/08/11

Hey Josh, hey Richard. Good to see you tonight. Ya, after a very good first period, the Cats did not play well for most of the second. Although things really seemed to turn around after DeSimone got stoned by Dainton on a point blank chance. Right after that Campanale got a penalty and the momentum switched.
Thanks for the summary, Dean (and dumb points to me for not noticing that Jen has the current score built into all her posts). Seattle stunned the Saints, thanks in part to the most amazing 67 yard run off right tackle you will ever see...

Re: UMass 1 UNH 1, Period 2

sounds like they sleepwalked (slept walk? :) ) through that period. hopefully they can get something going in the third and complete the 4 point weekend...

hope everyone's doing well tonight!

Ah, just say they somnambulated. It's easier. In total agreement as to the 3rd period. With that said, evening, folks. Watching the Colts-Jets game; not sure (as a Pats fan) who to root for.

Root for the Colts.

Jets win means they come to play us next weekend. Colts win, and Chiefs win tomorrow, we play the Chiefs. Colts win, Ravens beat the Chiefs, we play the Ravens.

UMass 1 UNH 1, Period 3

Game on!

1:27 of 4 on 4 to start the 3rd.

No way, I want the Jets next week, easy win. I'd rather play them than the Ravens, should they win tomorrow, which I expect them to do.

My conflict exactly. Do you go with the Jets, so we get a chance to spank Rex Ryan's guys in Foxboro once more? But think how hideous it would be if somehow that scenario backfired! Maybe leave well enough alone?

Or is it simply to hard to root for them, in which case we may well get the Ravens instead?

Yeah, I know, I know. But it's hard to root for Colts/Manning in any circumstances, and it would be sweet to have the Pats give Ryan a dose of humility. But that would mean rooting for the Jets tonight. Ah well. The football gods will sort things out, regardless of my pleas for one or the other.

Beating the Jets is a no brainer. You don't even need a game plan, just play barefoot.

In a perfect world, wed get to play the Chiefs, after they get beaten up by the Ravens. But I also think, after what happened last year, there is no way Brady loses to Baltimore again.

I always hate playing a divisional oppenent, no matter how weak. They know you too well.

C'mon 'Cats!
