Aye, I'm having flash-backs to last year. That was less than fun.Enjoy cozy (smile). Missed last night heading out to buy fireplace wood for this:

The ability to do this and be heard is what I miss most about the old Garden and it's similar balcony, think it was 10 rows or so back from the ice. Good luck being heard from the balcony at TD Garden... They missed a trick imho designing the "new Garden" the way they did.Indeed they did.
I also remember Charlie Holt looking up and giving me a somewhat disappoving look after I'd leaned over its railing, looked directly down at the ice, and given a few loud "pointers" to a Huskie player who'd cheap shotted one of our own.
Likewise here. Goaltending is ON tonight.Hey everyone. Was at last nights game and tonight is the complete opposite. Just got on and am seeing a defensive battle.
That was a before my time, but for me the Merrimack-UNH HE Quarterfinal in 2002. UNH was down 3-0 in the second period, then scored three goals in a little over 2 minutes including two in 30 seconds. The crowd was in a state of sheer chaos after Haydar's tying goal, haven't heard it as loud in there since. And by the way, the loudest I have EVER heard a rink's crowd -- and this includes when I was at the USA-USSR game (see photo here) -- was in the old Garden. UNH 10 Cornell 9 in double OT, ECAC semis. All of Durham and half of Ithaca were there.
Every crowd after that is postscript.
