UNH at Maine, 3.3.2012, 4PM ET

Re: UNH at Maine, 3.3.2012, 4PM ET

Maine 1-0, O'Connor after a huge deflection off a UNH forward

Re: Maine 0 UNH 0, Period 1

Re: Maine 0 UNH 0, Period 1

Thrush decks Diamond after the whistle, Diamond will go too probably because his name is "Joey Diamond."

Maine 1 UNH 0, 1st Intermission

Maine 1 UNH 0, 1st Intermission

Solid pressure by UNH but nothing to show for it. I like the effort. End of 1.

Re: UNH at Maine, 3.3.2012, 4PM ET

Froze at 1650 left and still frozen starting at fyrers back

I had the same problem!

Maine VERY LUCKY to be leading after 1. Need to pick up the intensity and start applying pressure of there own as that was just awful!

From what I've seen, the only question is whether they're headed for a 3-1 loss . . . or a 4-1 loss.

Other than a couple moments of puckluck (on their goal, and on UNH blowing an A++ scoring chance), it's hard to find anything to like about the first 20 minutes. I guess Sullivan played decently - though he had some shaky moments, too.

Re: UNH at Maine, 3.3.2012, 4PM ET

Something resembling exciting hockey for about a minute (FFD the DVR to 12:30 left in the 2nd period). Then, as quickly as it started, back to the grind.

Maine 1 UNH 0, Period 2

Maine 1 UNH 0, Period 2

Maine doing a great job of lifting UNH sticks coming in low for passes and rebounds.

Under 6:00 to play & counting.

Maine 1 UNH 0, Period 2

Maine 1 UNH 0, Period 2

TvR hauls down Diamond. UNH penalty. 4:42 to go.

Maine 1 UNH 0, 2nd Intermission

Maine 1 UNH 0, 2nd Intermission

End of the period. Again, love the effort, nothing to show for it.
