UNH at Maine - 02/06/10

Re: UNH at Maine - 02/06/10

Does the "goal off a skate" rule specify offensive skate?

If not, that goal could have been disallowed since it went off Fosters skate...

Dean, I'm not blaming Foster on everything, he's made some huge stops tonight. This could be SO much worse.

True, but the difference in this series has been Darling has made the saves he's needed to, and Foster hasn't.

I agree, if it weren't for excellent goal tending in the first period, it could be 5-2 Maine.

He keeps UNH in more than their share of games. Sislo missed a wide open net earlier.

Re: UNH at Maine - 02/06/10

uh oh...why is Nyquist going to the locker room?

Looked like an ankle thing.

That was a great second period to watch, no matter what your team allegiance. Just a well-played, up and down show.

Why didn't TIMMAY play Theo Andersson more last season?

Great sign in the crowd:

"Foster. Australian for sieve"

It's not like Darling is standing there doing nothing. He has made some excellent stops as well.

Foster has been great for us this year. He has not been great for us tonight.

Darling made the save of the series last night on the Butler shorty breakaway that would have made it 3-1 UNH. He also made a save in the third period that would have tied it, that was absolutely unbelievable.

He may not be "amazing" tonight, but there's no way I'm going to get down on him. That's all.

He made a super save on Henrion in the second period tonight... bang-bang play puck came from behind the net to him in the slot. Henrion one-timed it and Darling flashe his left pad out and just got a piece of it and it went wide of the left post. Excellent stop. Perhaps not the quality of the save on DeSimone last night, but every bit as important.
