Can't complain...and I agree, the call last night was complete BS...I had a clear view of the hit, NO ***** way was that "hitting from behind." I hope Umile files a complaint with HE.

Yeah, Kipp was so mad, & I don't blame him. It was a check. That 2nd period was insane. No control.

I don't know I'm torn. I mean he was the best closer available, but $50 mil for four years for a closer seems like a lot. And I'm not a fan of cutting a guy like Madson, who's very loyal, loose like that. Especially when he had agreed to a contract. And pitching is hardly the Phillies main concern. They still can't hit, and I don't think Thome is what they are looking for offensively. I guess if they can get the game into the ninth up 1-0 every game, they should be looking pretty good.

The weird thing was the refs called one penalty in the first and one in the third. Why did they go bananas in the second? It's not like it was a particularly chippy game.
