UNH 2025 Offseason: Where in the World is MS7?

No shit sherlock we got it, but you again don't know. Your trolling would be easier to understand if we knew who you were. I can tell you, and I know math is hard, JB has given more than $15 and a lot more than me.

You, guessing the benefiery of a $240K salary.
When I was on this board in the early 2000's when trolling was a plenty I remember the pinheads favorite word was Hillbilly. Wonder if it's one of them...Mav...Darin...Steve F are you there..:ROFLMAO:

FWIW I don't follow things in Chestnut Hillbilly-Land as closely as I used to, but I don't think SteveF (RIP?) is coming down for breakfast anytime soon.

e.e. darin was allergic to capital letters, so it's probably not him. Way more creative than our embedded anonymous troll. Ditto Jim Rittinger.

theprofromdover (what is with BC folks and lower case?) is the poster f/k/a "Murray" a/k/a One-Line Jack. Hates that we share a surname.

"Nick" I believe is one of the other old timers (Mav?), using a new ID. Which of course leaves us with ... CHRIS!!!???

Now THAT would be a hoot-and-a-half. FWIW I've met all of those folks (except Jim Ritt IIRC?) and most are really good guys ...

Oh my, you and Grouchy didn’t understand my post. Hint, I was implying JBs donation is $15.
Sorry to be off the board, I had to go flip burgers for awhile...:rolleyes:

Look the University would be really happy is every living alumnus gave $15, several million dollars in small donations.

As for me, I seem to remember my coaches club membership was ~$150 per year and then I gave above that.

With the economy the way that it is and layoffs accelerating in both the public and private sectors, I have a feeling it's going to be an awfully long time before the money raised and the upgrades completed.

If only we had a dedicated organization whose mission was to support and raise money for the UNH program.

This reminds me.

Hey Potluck, how goes the lobbying. You indicated that it would be pretty simple over a meal to get the money for the Whitt from the state. Have you scheduled your meeting with Ayotte and Packard. Hopefully you already had it and there is an announcement coming any day. You know since it would be easy.

The lobby of The Whitt will hereby be known as Potluck Pavillion

What I find true to UNH form, they are short money other than from DiLorenzo but how short? There is zero communication about this renovation from the department, never mind the coach in the witness protection program.
I figure they're no more than $240K short right now, and most capable managers could negotiate something below that sum.

I'm good for it, as long as I get some input on the replacement, and a percentage of the uptick in revenues in return.

Like a loan, to a program in need, faced with a short term cash crunch, which can more easily be massaged budget-wise with smaller paybacks over time.

When you think about it, even at last summer's BBQ, details were scant and MS7 stumbled through approximately 97 seconds of nothingness while addressing the STHs.

It occurs to me that MS7 is a shining example of the Peter Principle in action. Promoted to the level of his incompetence. I guess we'll never know if Coach Umile got it wrong when he allowed Souza to jump past Glenn Stewart, as Stew isn't ever gonna get a chance at D-1 HC now. I think we all have a pretty good idea by now that axing Borek a year or two ahead of his forced retirement was a bad move, as Scotty B seems to relish beating UNH's, errrr ... drum regularly with that awesome powerhouse Merrimack program, and their souped-up HS arena/gym masquerading as a D-1 facility.

Poor Mike could be living the life of Riley as an assistant at Brown, or UConn, or even at UNH right now, never having to speak publicly or do tawdry things like sucking up to prospective donors, when he'd rather be home early with the fam, or playing a twilight nine with his buddies over some beers at Portsmouth CC.

I would love to ask Coach Umile (under truth serum) exactly what he saw in MS7 as his successor, as opposed to the dozens if not hundreds of others who'd kill for the opportunity to be HC of a dormant D-1 nationally competitive program. And even if it turns out the vowel at the end of Mike's last name was important, couldn't Umile have found a candidate with charisma and a willingness to speak out publicly regularly, like (say) Saviano or even non-paisan like Boguniecki???

Let's add another candidate, while not a paisan, whose name ends in a vowel....Lanny Gare.

A UNH legend in his own right, gregarious, quotable and a genuine presence who never met a microphone he didn't like, he'd be a breath of fresh air in Durham. With his professional career lasting 21 years and now acting as an assistant coach in the German DEL, he has the experience and could potentially leverage his BC and EU connections to reestablish a pipeline of recruits.

The post game press conferences would be held at Libby's surrounded pitchers of Molson Golden as he wears a I Hate Maine t-shirt and extols the virtues of knife fighting in Lowell.

Freddy Meyer’s son Carter (F) and Eric Boguniecki’s son Jake (D) make the US NTDP
Carter will never have a nickname as good as his Dad. Carter the Compound Mitre Saw just doesn't have the same ring to it that Freddy The Hack did.

And, Bogie will just be Bogie.
