Under-18 Women's World Championship

Re: Under-18 Women's World Championship

If you want quantity fine. Best player is so cal and that pipeline is full.

Since I think your referring to a player (Barnes) committed to BC, you should have gone right to the BC Eagles supporter's hyperbole handbook and used "clearly" the best player. ;)

I did think she was impressive and obviously very talented. Also hearing that pipeline is full is good to hear per the recent discussion of blue chip player pool. Don't know much of anything about that specific talent pool. Forgive my ignorance, what are the programs / organizations developing the SoCal kids?

I do admit to some hyperbole (and a couple of beers! so please accept my comment in that context and a little good natured ribbing to all you Minnesota promoters) Happy for the US team. And happy some California girls doing well like Barnes and Pankowski at Wisconsin, among others. Certainly we don't have the numbers out here so we will probably never match Minn or Mass. There are really only 3 clubs in Cal with girls programs and they don't all have teams at each age: California Wave, Anaheim Lady Ducks and San Jose Sharks.

The key of course is to get many more girls playing the sport of "ice hockey". How long that will take to achieve in significant numbers in sunny and warm California, I have no idea.

LOVE IT!!!
those kids are the best. Nothing better than beating Canada...NOTHING!!!

do not underestimate the coaching job by Joel. He gets those girls to love each other so they will jump in front of a Zamboni for their teammates.

The Gophers are fortunate to have him on their staff.

I mentioned this in the recruiting thread and I'll say it again here. Snodgrass is very good and UConn fans will enjoy watching her play.
