UND @ UNO, Saturday Night, Sweep Night

Re: UND @ UNO, Saturday Night, Sweep Night

replay doesn't have time with it so impossible to tell but if it is in the net before 0:00, wouldn't there have to be some time left (not that it probably matters)?

Re: UND @ UNO, Saturday Night, Sweep Night

UNO scores!!!!! No time left on the clock!!!

Sioux announcers say they were offside

UNO dominated the last 4 minutes or so.

Tough to lose on a literally last second goal.

My question though, is why wouldn't there be at least a few tenths of a second left and a drop of the puck? Not that it would really make much of a difference as you couldn't really score in that amount of time anyway.

If it goes in with .1, like say SCSU vs UAA last year, the clock gets wound to 0 because you can't score in that time.
Same thing happened in that game to send it to ot.

Interesting enough that the Omaha announcers whined about the refs the whole game and probably won as the result of no offsides call on the final play that lead to the last second goal.

Sioux played well tonight and lose. I guess just regroup and come back next weekend.

Makes sense.

Disappointing loss for the Sioux, but I'm okay with a split. Dell played well, and we had plenty of chances, but shot a lot of those chances right at the goalie. Faulkner played very well, and won the game for UNO.

Hopefully we have a little bit better success against Notre Dame next weekend at home.

I have seen video of the goal...it doesn't appear that the play was offsides.

It was really close but I was able to freeze the video at a point it appeared the puck was still on the blue line but the players skate had left the line. At any rate, it was extremely close.
