UND @ SCSU, Two Like-Minded Institutions Battle For All the Nachos

Re: UND @ SCSU, Two Like-Minded Institutions Battle For All the Nachos

Red Pepper is great if you're bombed but Val's can be enjoyed in any state of being. I would go with Val's over RP and maybe that makes me a traitor but my palate hasn't been tainted by pasty in Michigan.

The palate can't be tainted by a pasty. It doesn't taste like anything. It has no taste. Therefore, it cannot affect your palate whatsoever.

Alright it's Thursday let's dispense with the pleasantries and get serious. St Cloud isn't playing their best hockey and UND is red hot but hasn't played on olympic ice yet this season. I am predicting two hard fought games and a split.

Re: UND @ SCSU, Two Like-Minded Institutions Battle For All the Nachos

The game is on national television on Friday night which means SCSU will lose. Split series.

Re: UND @ SCSU, Two Like-Minded Institutions Battle For All the Nachos

I frankly see no way that UND can hang with a traditional powerhouse like st cloud. May God have mercy on their souls.

Someone needs to call an exterminator... this thread is overrun with gophers. Doesn't scsu have a pest control degree?

Nope. Sounds like something you'd need to talk to a NDSU grad about.

Why would you have to edit your "fyp" post? If you're going to insult someone don't go back multiple times to get it right, amateur hour around here.

You are special. It has to be just right.

Faragher pretty much owns North Dakota. In his career, he is 6-3-1 with a .940 save percentage and a 1.79 goals-against average against the team with no nickname. Gothberg against SCSU is 0-3-0, with a .902 save percentage and 3.10 goals-against average. Saunders was decent against St. Cloud last year, with a 1-1-1 record, .919 SV% and 2.27 GAA. My guess is that Gothberg gets both starts unless he really struggles Friday.

Hate to say it but I agree. Especially when you make it so easy to get right the first time. :p

If faragher is on and the husky PP doesn't get too cute passing they're a NC caliber team, that being said I hope neither does well.

Has anyone told Hakstol about this? Is there any reason for NoDak to even show up?

Our penalty kill has been pretty bad, so I think that will be the key factor for North Dakota. Hopefully we can stay out of the box, but with Rabey out there all bets are off.

You do realize Rabey has been in the box 4 times all season right?

Re: UND @ SCSU, Two Like-Minded Institutions Battle For All the Nachos

He was probably talking about Papa and Dowd. Rabey did take two against UMD in the first game last weekend though.

As far as North Dakota getting hot, here is a good article on their top line, The Hockeywriter's blog...
UND Hockey: Parks and Wreck Making an Impact for North Dakota

The last two weekends, Mark MacMillan-Offensive, Nick Mattson- Defensive, Luke Johnson - Rookie and Zane Gothberg - Goalie have made NCHC players of the week.
Simpson and Schmaltz -Defensemen , Grimaldi - Offensive and Johnson - Rookie made NCHC player of the week earlier in Dec-Jan.

I remember Stecher and Caggiula also causing us issues in Nov. Comments in their blogs say Stecher was a hot rookie d earlier and LaDue is showing better now.
